It's our official launch day of IndiAanya and we're glad you stopped by our little corner of the Internet!
Like most things, IndiAanya began with a seed of a thought. Back in February we wondered what it would look like to have a blog that gave women living in India a place to tell their stories in their own unique voices. A space where women who happen to all live in one diverse country could build a community that would inspire, encourage and help them grow in their faith.
A bastion of blogs, books, and conferences are available for Christian women in the West. Whereas, in India there is only a handful of resources produced by Indians themselves that are addressing the needs and issues involving women here. And while Christianity does not belong to any one culture, which is part of its beauty, I know from my limited time here that living a life of faith in India has challenges that are culturally unique.
So our team began to dream and take deep breaths, pray and drink more coffee. And in May of this year we met and decided to call this blog IndiAanya (you can read about that here).
The goal we have at IndiAanya is to step back and let others tell their stories in their own voices from their own experiences. Each month we will focus on a new topic with posts written by a diverse group of contributors from all over India—and a few expats who call India home as well. Many are writing their first blog posts and I’m honored that they are willing to share their stories here.
For now we will be posting on Monday, Wednesday and Friday every week. August is all about HOPE, so you don’t want to miss what these ladies are going to share. The topics include faith, family, relationships, sharing personal testimonies, inspiring reads and a bit of poetry thrown in for good measure. Fridays will be a special treat as we focus specifically on being Single in the City and what that looks like from the perspective of our talented writers.
And just a few last things...
If you don’t want to miss a single post you can subscribe to receive them via email as soon as they go out. If you’d like to write for IndiAanya please send us an email here and we can chat about possibilities. If you have questions or comments for a specific contributor please leave a comment under that post and they will respond accordingly.
We don’t pretend to have all this figured out, so we’ve chosen to start slowly simply and see what this little online space might become. It’s exciting and scary all at the same time— and we’re bound to make mistakes along the way. So let’s see how it goes, shall we?
We hope this blog will be an encouragement to you in whatever season of faith you find yourself in today. So pour yourself a cup of chai or Nescafe, stay awhile and have a look around. Thanks for journeying along with us here at IndiAanya...let us know what you think!

Hi Evangeline- thanks for reading and send us an email and we can talk about writing opportunities.
Wow! the baseline of the concept of have something by Indians for Indians is great! Personally, I believe that no matter how much cosmopolitans we become, our cognition is guided by the threads of our social fabric. Its a wonderful start! As men, it would be amazing to know what women have to say.
Congrats and all the Best!!
